Nintendo is delaying US Change 2 pre-orders in response to the sweeping tariffs introduced by President Donald Trump earlier this week, reports Polygon. As of Nintendo's announcement of the console on Wednesday, pre-orders in america had been scheduled to open on April 9. They're now delayed indefinitely.
"Pre-orders for Nintendo Change 2 within the US won’t begin April 9, 2025 so as to assess the potential affect of tariffs and evolving market circumstances," the corporate informed Polygon. "Nintendo will replace timing at a later date. The launch date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged."
Nintendo didn’t instantly reply to Engadget's remark request.
